Please Note:

Although these directions take you to the school it will not be possible to drive and park on Main Road this year due to roadworks and safety concerns.  Please use the map provided in your pack  and further down this page to find an appropriate place to park.  Please park considerately, Underwood is a small village and we rely on the good will of the residents in order to organise the run every year.

From the North

Travel south on the M1 motorway. Come off at J27. Take the 3rd exit (sign posted Underwood A608). Drive approximately 1.2 miles to staggered give way junction. Turn left. After approximately 5 metres turn left onto Main Road. Underwood School is 0.3 miles on your right hand side.

From the South

Travel north on the M1 motorway. Come off at J27.. Take the 1st exit (sign posted Underwood A608). Drive approximately 1.2 miles to staggered give way junction. Turn left. After approximately 100 metres turn right onto Main Road. Underwood School is 0.3 miles on your right hand side.

From the East

Travel east through Mansfield. Head south on A60. Turn right at lights (West Notts College) onto A611. Follow road through Annesley village to roundabout interchange with A611 / A608. Turn right (sign posted M1). Drive approximately 1.5 miles to M1 J27. At M1 island, take your 2nd exit A608. Drive approximately 1.2 miles to staggered give way junction. Turn left. After approximately 100 metres turn right onto Main Road. Underwood School is 0.3 miles on your right hand side.

From the West

Travel west from Ripley. Join A610 heading towards Codnor. Bearing left at the lights through Loscoe until you reach the turn off for Eastwood. Take 1st left off island A608. Follow road up hill to lights. Stay in the left hand lane and follow the road around. Drive approximately 4 miles through Brinsley until you come to a T-junction. Turn left and after approximately 200 metres turn left onto Main Road, Underwood. School is 0.3 miles on your right hand side.
